All plagued by dreadful colds, we slogged through the three holidays. Last minute shopping, one major culinary success (two rosemary, lemon turkey birds) and one major culinary disaster (an undercooked and dehydrated Christmas pernil), countless church potlucks, a 10 pm Christmas Eve service with the kids and a Sunday morning Christmas Day service, multiple searches for a lost wedding band, an inoperative laptop, intensive potty training, sleep deprivation and so forth. 2011 stands out as a year of inordinate fatigue and abundant blessing – the year of the birth of our precious son.
