Wings and Nan!

Nora and her friend, Rylee, at the organ

After church on yet another snowy day

The bump continues to grow.

The brush and dust pan make a great toy!

Nora christening her very own table and stool with a bowl of oatmeal, bananas and blueberries.

Working on a masterpiece

Last weekend the three of us enjoyed a moment of spontaneity. Deliberating over our dinner options, I whined "Why can't we have an Indian restaurant across the street?!" To which Nathan replied, "Let's go to Storrs!" What's in Storrs, you might wonder. The University of Connecticut (UCONN), for one. And best of all, Wing Express, an Indian restaurant on UCONN's campus that sells all assortments of chicken wings as well as unbelievably satisfying Indian food. Even Nora relished her share of aloo mattar (tomato, green peas and potato cooked with fresh spices in curry sauce) with aromatic rice and nan. We also ate chicken do-piazza (chicken curry with lentil beans, onion and fresh spices) and saag paneer (spinach sauteed with fresh cheese and aromatic spices). We took home a bowl of kheer (a cool and soothing rice pudding dessert flavored with cardamom and garnished with pistachios). Scrumptious. Mouthwatering. Fiery. Blissful. Wing Express is a fine reminder of our beloved Taj Express in Dallas. Nathan and I always wonder why we ended up in Canterbury, CT and not Punjab, India. Anyway, we continued our theme by watching Gandhi for the first time on Netflix. An excellent film which took the Best Picture Oscar (among many others) in 1982.

Here's a video of Zuly's dad tossing the football with Nora on his most recent visit.
